Immediate Report - Notice of Intent to Impose a Financial Sanction for a Violation Related to the Deployment of Advanced Infrastructure in Incentivized Areas
Holon, Israel – August 5, 2025 – Bezeq The Israeli Telecommunications Corp. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ), announced today that the Company received a notice from the Ministry of Communications regarding its intention to impose a financial sanction of NIS 10 million for a violation related to the deployment of advanced infrastructure in incentivized areas.
According to a supervisory report issued by the Ministry of Communications, the Company was found to have violated the provisions of Section 14E of the Communications Law (Telecommunications and Broadcasting), 1982, by deploying advanced infrastructure in incentivized areas where it is not authorized to do so, prior to the lapse of five years from the date of the mandatory deployment period under the licenses granted to the license holders in those areas. In light of the above, the Ministry of Communications notified the Company of its intention to impose a financial sanction of NIS 10 million.
The Company has the right to submit written arguments regarding both the intention to impose the financial sanction and the amount thereof, within 30 days from the date the notice was delivered. The Company is reviewing the notice and intends to present its arguments to the Ministry of Communications.
