- The Company reports that on June 8, 2023, the subsidiary, yes Television and Communication Services Ltd. ("yes") informed the Company that it had received a claim with a motion for its certification as a class action filed against yes at the Central-Lod District Court.
According to the allegations in the motion, yes does not act in compliance with the law regarding sending notice on the upcoming termination of transactions for a fixed period, in that it fails to send a separate and independent notice on the date of termination of the benefit period, beyond informing the customer of such in the monthly invoice and by sending a text message.
In the motion, it is stipulated that at this stage, it is estimated that the class action amounts to more than NIS 2.5 million.
yes is studying the details of the claim and at this stage, neither yes nor the Company is able to assess its implications.
- It should be noted that a motion on the same matter (failure to give notice, as required, on the termination of a transaction for a fixed period) was filed against the Company, for which the Company issued an immediate report on June 6, 2023.
Further to this immediate report, the Company reports that on June 8, 2023, it received another motion for certification of a class action on the same matter.
- If additional motions are filed against the Company or yes on the same subject, the Company will not report them in another immediate report.
