Re: Immediate report – Class action against Pelephone Communications Ltd.
On June 13, 2023, the Company received notice from its subsidiary Pelephone Communications Ltd. ("Pelephone"), regarding a claim and motion for certification as a class action filed against Pelephone at the Central District Court. According to the allegations in the motion, Pelephone does not act in compliance with the law regarding sending notice on the upcoming termination of transactions for a fixed period, in that it fails to send a notice as required on the date of termination of the benefit period.
According to the plaintiff, he is not required to quantify the damage, but he claims that for the sake of caution, a conservative and reduced estimate amounts to NIS 13.2 million.
Pelephone is studying the details of the claim and at this stage, neither Pelephone nor the Company is able to assess its implications.
If additional motions are filed against the Company or Pelephone on the same subject, the Company will not report them in another immediate report.
