Holon, Israel – April 17, 2024 – Bezeq The Israeli Telecommunications Corp. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ), Israel’s leading telecommunications provider, announced today that Orit Alster has been appointed as a director in Bezeq.

• There are now three women on Bezeq's board of directors
• One of the ESG goals at Bezeq: to have at least 40% of women on its board of directors by 2030
• External directors Tzipi Livni and Edith Lusky were approved for another term on the board of directors
• The chairman of Bezeq’s board of directors, Tomer Raved, said: "I am pleased that Orit Alster is joining Bezeq’s board of directors, and I am convinced that her broad financial experience and her proven abilities will add significant value to the activities of the board of directors and Bezeq Group. I am also pleased that Tzipi Livni, Edith Lusky, and the other board members were elected for another term of office today."

The general meeting of Bezeq’s shareholders approved today the appointment of a new director, Orit Alster. The general meeting also approved another term of office for external directors Edith Lusky (who has served for six years) and Tzipi Livni (who has served for three years). Bezeq now has nine directors on its board of directors: six men and three women.

Orit Alster has rich experience in the financial markets as well as accounting expertise. She also serves as chairperson of Discount Capital and as a director in other companies: Israel Discount Bank NY and Hilan Retailers. In the past, she served as the head of the business division at Discount Bank, a director in The Phoenix, and in various senior banking positions.

Following the appointment, the chairman of Bezeq's board of directors, Tomer Raved, said “I am pleased that Orit Alster is joining Bezeq’s board of directors, and I am convinced that her broad financial experience and her proven abilities will add significant value to the activities of the board of directors and Bezeq Group.
