Making ultra-fast Internet accessible - by deployment of optic fibers - throughout Israel, including in remote localities.
Metula - a border locality where optic fibers were deployed close to the Lebanon border. By connecting Metula to the high-speed Internet, we enable Israel’s geographic periphery to close technological gaps and promote equal opportunity. The significance of the project became all the more obvious during the COVID-19 pandemic, when all educational institutions - from schools to colleges and universities - launched remote learning channels. Through the fiber-optic network, residents of the periphery are also able to study and to connect to the Internet in an optimal manner, maintaining their study routines in schools or at Tel Hai College, where many of the students live in Metula.
