More than  half a million customers are connected
to the wireless Home network

• Network penetration continues at a fast pace: 10,000 customers sign up every month
• About 70% of all wireless networks in Israel are owned by Bezeq

Bezeq announced today that it has passed the half-million mark of customers connected to a wireless home network – which means about half of all its internet customers. Bezeq is the dominant company in the home networks market, and owns about 70% of all wireless networks in the country. In practice, Bezeq is the only company offering a complete solution for the consumer by providing a wireless home network in which one company is responsible for installation and support – a simple, elegant and attractive solution.

About a year ago, Bezeq reported 300,000 customers connected to the internet via its wireless network. At the same time, the company announced a target of 500,000 by the end of 2009. Bezeq has attained and surpassed that target today. Its activities in wireless networks have pushed the Israeli market to near the top of the global pile, with 46% of all internet subscribers surfing on a wireless network (end 2009 expectation).

The new generation of home networks is creating a revolution in the ability of the various machines to contact each other. All Bezeq customers who upgrade to NGN speeds will enjoy a new N-standard wireless network free of charge (in a debit credit model). The advanced N standard bestows an innovative and top-quality surfing experience with a longer range (as much as x3) for surfing from anywhere in the home, faster file transfer (up to x6) between the computers connected to the network, a remote management system for easy initial installation of the router with Hebrew interface, and more effective interaction with the technical center in the event of a malfunction.
