Bezeq is Israel's largest and leading telecommunications group. The companies that make up the Bezeq Group offer the full range of telecom services – domestic and international, fixed and mobile, high-speed Internet, transmission, and more. The Group has a strong balance sheet and operating cash flow of NIS 3.9 billion (as of 2009), which is used to create a sophisticated telecom network, to provide advanced services for its clients and to generate value for its shareholders.

Bezeq Fixed Line
Bezeq's fixed line infrastructure comprises a fully-digitalized network and IP network – approximately 2.5 million access lines and over 30,000 km of fiber-optic lines, allowing the full range of value-added services. In 2009, Bezeq launched the NGN network.

NGN (Next Generation Network)
This is the world's newest technology in fixed line networks. The technology is based on fiber optics deployed near the subscriber's home and enables broadband high-speed services and advanced IP telephony services. Bezeq is the only telecom company in Israel investing in this innovative infrastructure. This project does not mean upgrading Bezeq's existing infrastructure, but rather setting up a completely new infrastructure (beyond copper fiber optic cables). In light of the complexity and scale of the NGN project, it will be implemented over a number of years and in a modular manner. Using the NGN network, Bezeq will lead Israeli communications from high-speed Internet to ultra-speed Internet. Broadband offered to subscribers over the new network will reaches 50 Megabit and enable consumers to enjoy the most advanced communications and content services.

Customer Focused
Bezeq is a customer-focused company, which puts the customer, his needs and priorities at the center of its operations. The Private Division handles everything relating to the service provided to the company's private customers, and is responsible for such areas as the service centers, Bezeq technicians and the 144 information service. Bezeq's Business division provides communications solutions for the business sector. Bezeq launched a Data Center in Jaffa, an ultra-modern facility offering server hosting solutions and other advanced computerized solutions for the business sector.

Broadband Internet – a Significant Field of Growth
Bezeq has installed over a million high-speed ADSL lines and regularly launches high-speed Internet products for its customers. On the existing Internet infrastructure the company has launched advanced added-value services such as BGAMES – the first Games-on-demand service in Israel, antivirus software, NETDISK – a service for storing pictures, video clips and personal files on Bezeq’s servers in a secure, simple and user-friendly way, a fax-to-mail service which forwards fax messages to the customers' e-mail inbox, and more. Bezeq leads the home network market, connecting computers simultaneously on a wireless network, with about 60% of the wireless networks operated by Bezeq. It is the only company offering a comprehensive solution – enabling customers to enjoy the most advanced (N standard) wireless home network, with installation and support fully covered by a single company, thus providing them the most complete and simple solution. Bezeq also offers customers accessory equipment for the home network that enables full connectivity in distant corners of the home, including secure rooms and basements.

Bezeq also operates the b144.co.il site, using the most advanced technologies for retrieving information swiftly, easily and intuitively. In addition, the site features a number of innovative applications that interface with the search system, including a map system that enables users to receive automatically computed routes to destinations anywhere in the country, search by SMS and more.

Bezeq and the Community
Bezeq works for the community through financial contributions and donating communications infrastructures, while employees volunteer for non-profit charities involved in education, social welfare and other fields. Bezeq is also a member of Ma'aleh, an NGO working for social responsibility.

Privatization
The privatization of the company was completed in October 2005, when core control was sold to Apax-Saban-Arkin. In April 2010, the controlling shares were transferred to B Communications (formerly 012 Smile). In this transaction, B Communications acquired 30.44% of Bezeq’s share equity for approximately NIS 6.5 billion.
