The management of Bezeq and representatives of the Workers Committee met today for three hours – the start of a process for thrashing out the main differences of opinion between them.
Chairperson Miki Mazar asked the parties to make a genuine and purposeful effort to resolve the burning issues on the Company's agenda. "It is essential that Bezeq be ready for competition, and I promise you that our competitors won't wait for us to clean up our house. Leadership and responsibility are what we need now, and the building of trust between the parties so as to arrive at a solution as quickly as possible," said Mazar.
The meeting of the Board of Directors last Thursday culminated in the following resolution:
"The Board of Directors deplores the leak of the draft report of the auditor, to which the audited entities (who are not the Chairman of the Workers Committee and his son) have not yet responded, and regrets the related erroneous publication in the media, which exceeded the contents of the draft and was unlawfully harmful to the status of Mr. Shlomo Kfir, the Chairman of the Workers Committee.
The Board of Directors expresses its support for the management under CEO Amnon Dick and calls upon the parties to sit down together immediately.
The Board of Directors regrets the inappropriate utterances heard recently against the management and the CEO.
The Board of Directors sees cooperation between the management and the Workers Committee as essential to the Company."
CEO Amnon Dick today appointed teams under the stewardship of Deputy CEO Avi Patir and VP Human Resources Alik Romm, for the negotiations with the Workers Committee.
