Approval from the Israeli government
Further to the Company's immediate reports of July 6, 2020, on the subject of the publication of the draft economic plan for 2020 – promotion of the nationwide deployment of advanced telecommunications infrastructures in Israel, for comments from the public, and of July 21, 2020 on the subject of the publication of the final recommendations of the inter-ministerial team for the examination of the policy on the deployment of ultra-fast broadband landline infrastructures in Israel ("The inter-ministerial team") and the adoption thereof by the Minister of Communications, a supplementary immediate report is hereby submitted, that on September 13, 2020, the Israeli government approved the promotion of the nationwide deployment of advanced telecommunications infrastructure in Israel, pursuant to the final recommendations of the inter-ministerial team as mentioned above.
Implementation of the key principles of the government decision requires the amendment of the Telecommunications Law (Telecommunications and Broadcasting), 5742 – 1982.
