The "Event of the year" broadcast is based on Bezeq technology

The final of "A Star is Born", which was broadcast live yesterday evening from Golan Beach to millions of viewers all over Israel, was based technologically on Bezeq , which attributed great importance to the event and made special preparation for it.

In order to transmit the broadcast, Bezqe set up dedicated video lines at five locations around the country: on the main stage at Golan Beach on Lake Kinneret, in the three homes of the finalists, and in Keshet studios in Tel Aviv.

From the main stage to Bezeq's Shikmona relay station in Haifa, two multi-channel video systems were used, and reserve fibers were kept on hand. In the finalists' homes in Ramat Gan, Ashdod and Moshav Elyakim, Bezeq operated its transmission lines and channels from the homes to the main stage. Two additional channels were operated to Keshet Studios – a main channel and a back-up channel, and there was also a main channel and a back-up channel from Keshet Studios to the main stage.

VP Engineering and network at Bezeq, Yuval Keinan, said after the event: "Setting up transmission for supporting a broadcast of such size has to be based on a network of the highest quality. Bezeq is the only one to have a network of that quality. We are proud of the mission that we accomplished so professionally."

During the live broadcast, all the locations and video and transmission stations were manned by Bezeq employees, to ensure a fault-free broadcast.

Not only was the broadcast perfect, but the rating was unprecedented.
