Bezeq today officially launches two new broadband speeds: 600 Mbps and 1 Gbps

• Bezeq will soon launch an additional broadband speed – 2.5 Gbps – the fastest speed in Israel
• Starting from today, some quarter of a million Bezeq customers countrywide will be able to browse the web at speeds of up to 1 Gbps, with the network to be deployed by the end of the year to a million households in tens of localities in Israel's center and periphery
• In the coming years, Bezeq will be investing billions of shekels in the accelerated deployment of fiber optic cables throughout Israel, at a faster rate and on a wider scale than any other telecom company worldwide

Holon, Israel – March 14, 2021 – Bezeq – The Israel Telecommunication Corp., Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ), announced today the launch of its fiber optic network. This is Israel's largest infrastructure project, which is being carried out along the length and breadth of the country. Already today, merely two and a half months after the start of deployment, some quarter of a million households countrywide, in the center and periphery, are able to connect to Bezeq's fiber optic network and boost their home Internet speed. In the framework of the launch, Bezeq is offering two new broadband speeds: 600 Mbps (Up 60), at a price of NIS 109 per month, and 1 Gbps (Up 100), at a price of NIS 119 per month (the price is for infrastructure only). Besides the infrastructure cost, the fiber optic package includes an installation fee. To mark the launch of the network, Bezeq is offering a special installation price of NIS 12.5 per month, for 36 months, with the offer valid until June 15, 2021.

Bezeq further announced that within a few weeks it will be launching Israel's fastest fiber optic package with a broadband speed of 2.5 Gbps. At present, the maximum speed offered to private customers by all providers stands at 1 Gbps, which means that the speed will be upped 2.5 times.

Ahead of the fiber optic project, Bezeq recruited hundreds of workers for a range of engineering and service jobs, with a view to increasing the rate of deployment and enabling as many customers as possible countrywide to connect to the fiber optic network in the shortest possible time. Bezeq has stated that by the end of the year, some one million households, comprising 40% of all Israeli households, will be able to connect to the fiber optic network. In the first year, the network will be deployed in 90 localities in the country's center and periphery, covering all types of buildings from high-rises to private homes. This is the fastest deployment rate in the world, outpacing all local fiber deployment companies as well as the world's leading telecom providers.
